What it means to be clean is a national online campaign raising awareness about hygiene poverty and the work of The Hygiene Bank Ireland across the country. We want to start conversations and get people involved with what we do.
Without volunteers, we simply would not exist, and we would not be able to support communities across Ireland in providing hygiene items to those who may otherwise go without. We will provide you with all the tools, training and know-how required for your role. Volunteering is an empowering, social experience that gives you the opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to those living in hygiene poverty in your community. Whether you can commit a few days a week, or a few hours a month, your support can make a real difference.

Get Your Work Involved
Whether you would like to act as a drop off point for the public or would like to host a collection among your colleagues, we would love to hear from you!
Drop Off Point
We rely on retailers and local businesses to act as drop off locations. We are so grateful for any business that supports us and so we make it as easy as possible. To get involved click below and we will provide you with a branded box for donations. A volunteer will be assigned to you who will check in and empty the box whenever is needed.
If you would rather support us with a once-off collection, you can arrange to host a Hygiene Drive where you and your colleagues work together to collect and donate a bulk donation of hygiene items for your local community.
