Just a little note to say thank you so unbelievably much for including us in your Hygiene Bank. It is such an incredible charity, we feel so lucky to have been a part of it. We hope you have an amazing summer and hope that we can work with you again. Míle buíochas!
Thanks so much for the donation of all the hygiene products. We will be able to provide these to women accessing our service. It is particularly beneficial to women who may be rough sleeping and may not have access to a social welfare payment on coming into our service to purchase their own products.
Thanks for all your support, the clients we visit are delighted with the hygiene products and we are putting together a small gift bag for all the long stay patients in Merlin park hospital for St Patrick’s day. They loved the hygiene products we gave them at Christmas.
Hygiene is a hugely essential part of the daily routine for people that are homeless and living on the streets. Particularly throughout the covid-19 pandemic where people’s personal hygiene was so important in preventing the spread of the illness and the Hygiene Bank really stepped up to support our frontline outreach service. We distribute toiletry packs on a nightly basis to people that are living on the streets and something so basic can mean the world to people. The team in the Hygiene Bank are doing incredible work to support charities like ICHH and we are truly grateful for their hard work.
The Bluebell Community Development project would like to sincerely thank the generosity of the Dublin Hygiene Bank and all those who have donated to it. We have been supplied with hygiene products, cleaning supplies, nappies and PPE. These items have been distributed to members of our community who most need it, primarily the elderly and families who have been hit hard by the Covid pandemic. The response from those who have received care hampers has ranged from joy to sheer relief. It is a great credit to the organisation that they have continued to operate when most of their donation drop off points have been closed for months. The whole team are extremely professional and a joy to deal with.
Let me start by thanking all involved so very much for the great donations given to us here to help us continue our work. I have had very positive feedback from our community food banks who actually give out the hampers and so in turn see the difference your donations make. To be in a position to give people in trying times the items that you donated is absolutely wonderful. Personal care products don’t usually get donated too frequently and while widely used by all we struggle to get our hands on quantities like you guys donated. The mums of the families were over the moon with the products and we are asked week on week if we have more.
On behalf of us all at Galway Simon Community I would like to offer our warmest thanks for your recent, and ongoing, donation of hygiene products for our services. It is an immensely challenging time for our front-line teams, as you can imagine. Covid-19 continues to pose enormous challenges across our services and our ability to raise funds is set to be massively impacted again this year. The good news however is that there is also a lot of hugely positive work being carried out across the organisation against the backdrop of Covid-19. In 2020, we resettled 100 households into new homes; we supported and cared for clients across our Emergency, High Support and Outreach Services throughout the pandemic; we provided significant health and well-being supports; we have kept people safe. In all, we supported over a thousand men, women and children throughout the year in the context of a global pandemic and a national homelessness crisis. This simply wouldn’t be possible with the kindness and generosity of supporters like you and for that we are deeply grateful.
